Benefits for employers

To promote the health of their employees, employers can take advantage of health-promoting measures. Employers are supported in providing tax-free benefits per employee and per year in accordance with § 3 No. 34 EstG (German Income Tax Act) for services provided in addition to the wages owed anyway to prevent and reduce the risk of illness and to promote health.

Tax-exempt measures can be provided if they meet the requirements of §§ 20 and 20b SGB V (German Social Code) with regard to quality, purpose, targeting and certification.

With regard to the services offered by SOCASPORTS, these can include

1. the fit offer “Business Hatha Yoga Inhouse” (based on a concept by SOCASPORTS certified by the Zentrale Prüfstelle für Prävention)

2. the fit offer “Rückenschule for Business” (based on a concept by SOCASPORTS certified by the Zentrale Prüfstelle für Prävention)

and can be classified accordingly.

However, we are not permitted to provide legally binding information on the tax treatment of health measures. We recommend that you obtain call-in information from the company tax office with regard to the application of Section 3 No. 34 of the German Income Tax Act (EstG).
